Everyone does it. Whether we are single or married, have pets or none…we all display photos throughout our homes of friends and family. Here is an interesting way to showcase your fav pics with some character.

Digital pictures can be sent in and made into a paint by numbers canvas for you and your loved ones to paint yourselves. So they not only give you a work of art but a fun project you can do together.

This has to be one of my favorite finds this year. A company (The Sarut Group)with an eye for the odd and genius designers that create some of the most memorable items out there. Here are a few of the ones I have purchased.

Although I do not have any children of my own (with the exception of my four woofs and four meows), most of my friends my age have babies and toddlers running around. It is through interactions with them that I have stumbled upon Mr Ouchy (technically his name is Mr Bump, based on a children’s story series called Mr Men, but Mr Ouchy just sounds better). This cute little gel pack came in handy for one of our friend’s children when he accidentally walked right into the handrail of the stairwell. Within seconds of seeing Mr Ouchy, he stopped crying and held the little pack close to his head giggling. I must say that I’m inclined to purchase a few of them for upcoming baby showers as they are adorable, affordable, and best of all, practical. Unfortunately it seems that the real Mr Bump is only available in the UK so if you are not up for importing such a small item, The Container Store sells a few similar packs here in the US.

One of the coolest gifts for the camper that already has everything else. This fire pit LED light is perfect for their desk at work to remind them of the great outdoors they crave. Available at Urban Outfitters.

My husband would be quite upset with me if I gave in and purchased these wire covers from The Container Store as he has been, like millions of others, simply wrapping his computer cords in colored electrical tape for years. The reason I want to purchase this particular set is for convenience. The wire wraps are removable, come in numerous colors, AND you can write on them for ease of use. Though the husband might consider them a few bucks wasted, I consider them a savior from all that electrical tape!
