Black, White, & Red Wedding Cakes

One of the most frequent color combinations I get for weddings is Black, White, & Red. Perhaps this is due to the fact that it can be designed in so many different ways from Victorian to Gothic Punk to Sophisticated Elegance to Playful and Whimsical. And maybe that’s why it is my favorite color scheme as well. So here’s some pretty cakes to demonstrate this point:

Skull Cake

Obviously this cake was for a Halloween themed wedding or a truly punk union. I wonder what flavor the actual cake is?

Topsy Turvy Cake  Whimsical Cake

I love the Topsy-Turvy effect of this first cake. Then again, I’m a sucker for a Harlequin pattern on both cakes….

Madhatter Cake

This cake could easily be used for a wedding or a Queen of Hearts themed party. Down the rabbit hole, anyone?

Black & White Cake  Detailed Cake

Here are two examples of  more sophisticated cakes.

Graphic Cake  Black Paisley

I wanted to include these two side by side since the first one demonstrates too much detail work for my taste. Though I suspect it was used for an Indian themed wedding and made to look like Henna in which case, it is a beautifully done cake. The one on the right, however, is the perfect combination of whimsy, sophistication, and theme for me!
