Temporary Thanksgiving Puppy

Saturday, November 20th, 2010

Our new friend Meryl, dog trainer and owner of K9 Bully and Friends, has asked us to take in this sweet Boxer mix for the week of Thanksgiving while she is out of town. Poor thing was found here in Pooler and now we are trying to get her adopted into a good home. Vet predicts that she is only about one and half and has a very full life ahead of her so if you know of anyone looking to adopt, consider Cassidy.

Tybee Sunrise

Saturday, November 13th, 2010

My best friend was in town visiting and she insisted that one morning we get up early, drive to the Tybee pier, and watch the sun rise. I told her that a picture of the sun rising over the Atlantic looks exactly the same as one of the sun setting over the Pacific (where she lives). This unfortunately did not get me out of a 5AM wake up call but it did land me this cool pic of the sun rise…. or is it a sun set?

Brooch Bouquets

Saturday, November 6th, 2010

I’m a sucker for all things vintage. Show me a way to recycle old items with a new purpose and it only gets better. That’s why I absolutely love these brooch bouquets. You can combine family heirlooms, something borrowed or blue, and add a hint of something special between you two to create a sparkling bouquet that will never spoil. Check out these examples:

Black and White Brooch Bouquet

I adore the classic black and white combination with the hint of red from the dragonfly.

Red Brooch Bouquet

Usually I tend to stay far away from gold and silver combinations, however the red and black ties it together nicely.

Multi Brooch Bouquet

And for those of you that just cannot settle on a color scheme, multi colored bouquets allow you to pull from all resources: grandma, sister-in-law, goodwill, trunk shows, et cetera.
